The Artist Behind the Canvas
Hi, I’m Mary Emily Galysh — a mixed media artist drawn to texture, color, and Southern landscapes that feel both nostalgic and new. What began as a creative rehab after a hand injury has turned into a joyful and deeply personal art practice.
My process is rooted in storytelling — layering vintage papers, rich pigments, and found materials to create work that feels both familiar and unexpected. I’m endlessly inspired by the natural world, the imperfect, and the beautifully worn.
